Malawi Agate Specimen 23

Malawi Agates are found in the southern Ngabu region of Malawi. These beautiful agates are known for their vibrant colors and bands. These agates are Usually sized around 1-3 inches.

 Malawi has placed an import/export ban on all non processed precious stones (agates got caught up in that classification). They are doing this in hopes to boost the value and promote the local economy. As a result there is no way to tell when these will be completely unobtainable at the price listed, as U.S. stock of rough is running low so there is no way to tell if more can be obtained when we run out! Specimen stones are face polished on one side. Making them amazing to add to any agate collectors display or just as a cool display piece around the home or office! Polishing only the one side shows the stone in it’s natural state and a nice polished side to show off the gorgeous interior that cutting and polishing reveal!
